Roadmap

Use this roadmap to plan missables, cleanup, and the most efficient route to the platinum in Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut.

Stage 1: Complete Jin's Journey

Ghost of Tsushima is open-world and all trophies can be earned in a single playthrough. You can either push through the main story first and collect everything later, or fully clear each region before moving on — both work.

Story missions (Jin's Journey) are split into three Acts that correspond to the island regions: Izuhara (Act 1), Toyotama (Act 2) and Kamiagata (Act 3). Many story tales unlock or reward abilities, gear, or access to locations needed for other trophies — follow the story to naturally earn several trophies and unlockables.

Key story highlights by act (trophies tied to specific tales are noted):

  • Act 01 (Izuhara) — Rescue Lord Shimura: Prologue: Gathering Storm; The Warrior's Code: Point of No Return; The Tale of Sensei Ishikawa (required for The Unbending Archer); The Tale of Lady Masako (required for The Vengeful Warrior); Blood on the Grass; The Tale of Ryuzo: Company of Wolves; The Broken Blacksmith: Stoking the Flame; Hammer and Forge (liberates Komatsu Forge — needed for Master Liberator); The Iron Hook (grants the grappling hook); Shadow of the Samurai: Family Reunion (liberates Kaneda Castle — needed for Master Liberator); A New Horizon (introduces Norio and unlocks Yuna tales — needed for The Warrior Monk and The Headstrong Thief).
  • Act 02 (Toyotama) — Retake Castle Shimura: A Message in Fire (may reveal Umugi Cove — Den of Thieves); Ghosts from the Past: Birthright (recovers Sakai Armor — needed for All in the Wrist); The Walls of Yarikawa; The Coward of Yarikawa; The Ghost of Yarikawa: Leader of the People (rewards Ghost Stance — needed for Haunting Precision); A Reckoning in Blood: Dying Embers (enables Dirge of the Fallen Forge afterwards); The Fate of Tsushima; From the Darkness: The Ghost (liberates Castle Shimura — needed for Master Liberator).
  • Act 03 (Kamiagata) — Kill the Khan: Honor and Ash; Wolves at the Gates: The Exiled Alliance (unlocks passage to a lighthouse — needed for Light the Way); A Gathering Storm; Heart of the Jito; Eternal Blue Sky: Sovereign End (liberates Port Izumi — needed for Master Liberator); The Tale of Lord Shimura: Mono No Aware (contains the Haiku opportunity — Body, Mind, and Spirit).

Progressing the story unlocks many secondary tales and mechanics; use the story as a backbone and clean up collectibles, Mongol territories and tales as you go for efficient trophy completion.
